Pheonix Boat Trips

About Us

Owner / skipper is Eric Wardlaw.

Ex RAF for 31 years, has changed from the air to sea! Originally owned boats when I was posted to Cornwall in 1971 and haven't stopped since. I have been operating wild-life trips since 1997 and originally departed from Nairn harbour which was limiting due to tide. I then moved boat location to the new Inverness Marina in 2010 until 2015, after which I decided to return back to Nairn to offer more selective trips around the tidal window.

The Boat

Phoenix Boat Trips was named after a project boat, a Nelson 34', that a good friend and I re-built after it was accidently set on fire whilst in Navy ownership. Hence the name "Phoenix".

The latest boat, which will depart from Nairn harbour, is a 10-metre-long diesel powered, unique modern cabin rib which receives lots of attention from visitors. The boat has a license for twelve passengers and provides a comfortable and fast vessel which carries all certified safety equipment.

Before departure there will be a brief explaining where the lifejackets and life raft are stowed and operated. If the sea conditions are rough the trip will be cancelled. I like to enjoy the trip as well as my passengers!

Once seats booked please note the following: -

Liability will be limited in accordance with the Athens Convention relating to the carriage of passengers and their luggage by sea
